Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin
  • cup water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Beat first 14 ingredients at medium speed just until dry ingredients are moistened. Fold in pecans.
  • Spoon evenly into 2 greased and floured 9×5-inch loafpans.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes; remove from pans, and cool completely on wire racks.
