Every holiday, every roasted chicken or turkey… It is a must to boil the bones and make your own stock.  Then, if you want gravy or homemade soup, you’re already halfway there.

Chicken Stock
  1. Place all ingredients in a large dutch oven.
    Place all ingredients in a large dutch oven.
  2. Boil for 1-2 hours.
  3. Let cool. Strain the broth to remove bones and chunks of veggies. Place in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Once completely cool, remove the fat that has settled on the top. Freeze for future use.
